As the Environment Agency (EA) prepares to ramp up its on-farm inspections, the NFU is arranging a series of meetings to help members through the process.

The EA has been working to increase its inspection rates for agriculture, employing 85 agricultural regulatory inspection officers across England to undertake more farm inspections and provide advice and guidance to farmers in protecting the environment.

Two virtual meetings will be delivered by Regional Environment and Land Use Advisers Bee Barton-Broomhead and Rob Wise, on 5 June and 20 June.

Bee said:"These meetings will outline what an inspection involves, what the inspectors are looking for, and what happens afterwards. We are also planning some face-to-face meetings later in the year, in areas where inspections are more likely."

Members can also find out more about the inspection process on NFUonline.
