Who are we?

The National Farmers’ Union represents the interests of farmers and growers across England and Wales. Promoting competitive and socially responsible agriculture and horticulture, we influence policy at the highest levels to ensure the long-term viability for our members.

Working for the NFU means that you will be working in a friendly working environment with great people, some of whom are industry specialists recognised for their knowledge and expertise.

Why join our team?

If you would like to join a small multi-skilled team, in a unique setting with excellent benefits, this may be the role for you. We value our employees and encourage their continued learning and development. We aim to equip everyone with the tools they need to succeed.

What we need

As one of the contacts responsible for day-to-day management of the membership categories, you will be playing an important part in working toward the wider business goal of retaining and recruiting new members. Supported by the Membership Manager, you will work within the frameworks of our Sales and Marketing strategies to help communicate the benefits of membership of the NFU. To carry out the role to the best of your ability, you will need to possess knowledge of the food and farming industry and experience working successfully in a membership-focused environment.

You should have experience in planning and executing projects, along with well-developed general office admin skills. A working knowledge of basic sales and marketing principles, as well as knowledge of website administration and magazine publishing would be advantageous.

You will need to be proactive to develop relationships with stakeholders (both internally and externally) and confident in using this knowledge to benefit our products. You should be experienced in using databases to evaluate information, and able to identify via research opportunities for expansion and or development.

If you meet the requirements of the role, or think that with the right support you could excel, please request an application pack from Simone Perrygrove via email simone.perrygrove@nfu.org.uk or telephone 024 7685 8742 or download more information from our website. No CV’s or agencies please.
