Election 2012 candidate - Jonathan Brant

12 Jan 2012

Jonathan BrantJonathan Brant is standing for the position of NFU Vice President.

I am a third-generation family farmer in the Lincolnshire Wolds, growing 275 acres of combinable crops, with 130 acres of permanent pasture supporting a herd of Lincoln Reds.

Having served as branch and country chairman, I am presently council delegate for Lincolnshire and member of the regional livestock board.

I particularly enjoy meeting members, listening to their thoughts and ideas and representing them at national level. I am passionate about the industry, and not afraid to express my opinion to bring about a positive result.

During my time as county chairman I introduced new ideas and brought considerable energy to NFU activities and feel confident stepping up to a higher level.

As Vice President, I will bring an open, practical and hands-on approach. I am determined to see our union, through its members, where it belongs – at the forefront of promoting our strong farming future.
