Kevin Roberts is the Director General of NFU, commencing the role in April 2010.
He joined NFU from the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) having concluded a three year term as its first Chief Executive. He successfully merged five agricultural levy boards into a single organisation yielding savings and delivering better operational efficiency. He relocated AHDB to Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire during 2009.
Previously he was Director General of the Meat and Livestock Commission, originally joining in 1993 following a long career in the private sector in the construction industry.
He is qualified accountant with a flair for business reorganisation and change management.
Born in 1955, he is married with four children and is a lifelong supporter of West Bromwich Albion.
