Ed is the third generation to work the family farm.
Mostly severely disadvantaged, the land rises to 2,500 feet. Neolithic remains prove the land has been farmed continuously for over four thousand years.
The stocking rate of Welsh Mountain sheep and predominately Welsh Black cattle have remained similar to that in 1950 when the family arrived from Lancashire.
Edmund has two grown children and two young grandchildren.
