Election 2010 candidate - Rosey Dunn

Rosey Dunn is standing for the position of NFU Vice President.

- Governance Board member

- North East Regional Board chairman

- York East Council delegate

A first generation farmer and NFU member for 24 years, I started farming as a tenant, developing our business to include arable, suckler cows, intensive beef and breeding sheep plus stubble to stubble contracts.

Working with the NFU I have been able to represent farmers on a wide range of issues, actively lobbying everyone from the Secretary of State to civil servants, local and regional decision-makers and retailers. I have also really enjoyed working to raise the profile of farming via local print and broadcast media and face-to-face with members of the public.

Since joining the Governance Board, I believe I have made a useful contribution. I am passionate about regaining a place for our industry at the heart of the nation and would relish the opportunity to help the NFU achieve that.
