Evance logoEvance Wind Turbines
As a leading manufacturer of small wind turbines Evance delivers efficient and reliable solutions designed to produce maximum energy yield.

Evance has seen a large increase in the take up of small wind across the country as landowners and farmers are eager to operate more sustainably, and many are seeing the benefits of installing multiple small wind turbines rather than one large turbine. Currently 900 installations are helping farmers, landowners and businesses reduce both energy bills and carbon footprint.

The Evance R9000 small wind turbine will generate over 13,000kWh of energy in a wind site averaging 6 metres per second annually. So with energy costs rising by around 20% this year and possibly more in future years, wind energy is a great benefit. As well as cost savings, R9000 owners can enjoy an income stream, as the Evance R9000 is MCS certified turbine it is eligible for Feed-inTariffs payments.

Marks & Spencer
Marks and Spencer Marks & Spencer is one of the most trusted brands in the world and more than 21 million customers visit our UK stores every week. We are proud of our long-standing and close working relationships with UK farmers and growers. To help our farmers address the challenges ahead from factors like rising energy costs, climate change, water availability and population growth, we have developed our M&S Farming for the Future programme.

This far-reaching activity, which is being delivered as part of our eco and ethical plan, Plan A, sees us working closely with producers in all sectors to help them become more efficient, reduce their impact on the environment and trade ethically, including improving animal health and welfare. This will help secure our supply base for the future and ensure that we can continue to provide our customers with the highest quality UK produce.

Morrisons
Morrisons Morrisons are committed to British farmers and British food and lead the way in selling only 100% British fresh beef, lamb, pork and poultry. We buy direct from farmers and take the livestock to our own abattoirs. From there the meat is supplied to our stores ready for our trained ‘in-store’ butchers to cut and prepare. Fresh produce will in most cases be taken directly from the field to our own facilities, where we wash, grade and pack it ourselves.

We believe these close links with our farmer suppliers makes us different from other supermarkets. And in what was seen as a natural next step, and one that sees us uniquely placed to understand the challenges facing British agriculture, we farm ourselves at a 1000 acre beef and sheep enterprise in Ayrshire, Scotland. The farm is part of our ongoing Morrisons Farming Programme, a long term initiative with a strong applied research focus. We invest funds in a broad range of farmer led activities that can help develop a sustainable British farming industry.
