Our government and parliamentary affairs team has published its latest 'what's on' guide to the Westminster week - and a look ahead to some of the agricultural issues scheduled for the next few months.

Tuesday 20 July

  •  Westminster Hall debate (1 ½ hrs) on the Future of the North West economy , Hazel Blears (9.30am). 
  •  Home Affairs select committee evidence session on the immigration cap. Witnesses will be the British Chambers of Commerce and Federation of Small Businesses; Damien Green MP, Minister for Immigration and Lin Homer, of the UK Border Agency (11am).  
  •  House of Commons report stage and third reading of the Finance Bill.
  •  House of Lords question on the RLR re-mapping exercise, Duke of Montrose (2.30pm). 
  •  House of Commons adjournment debate on dangerous dogs, Angie Bray MP.

Wednesday, 21 July

  • Prime Ministers’ Questions (12pm).
  • House of Lords question on the illegal motorway adverts, Lord Harrison (2.30pm).

Thursday, 22 July

  • Science and Technology Select Committee evidence session on setting the scene in science. Witnesses will be Rt Hon David Willetts MP, Minister for Universities and Science, and Professor Adrian Smith of DBIS (11am).
  • House of Lords questions on bovine TB , Lord Dixon-Smith (11am).
