Young countryside reporter competition

01 Sep 2010

There's still time for budding journalists to enter our fantastic competition.

farm visit pupilThe NFU has teamed up with Britain’s Farm Toys to find the next generation of countryside reporters. Our competition is open to five to 12-year-olds who simply need to write a 200-word story about their farm visit - so if you're throwing back the gates to show young people what farming is really about, make sure they enter.

The winner in each region will get £200 worth of toys and tractors, with a bonus radio control John Deere tractor on offer for the best entry from a five to seven-year-old.

The competition will run all summer and the closing date is Friday, September 30. To download a copy of the entry form, visit the Young Reporter section of www.whyfarmingmatters.co.uk or email campaignresources@nfu.org.uk for hard copies.
