A free warning guide and sticker is being distributed to the industry to help prevent glyphosate damage in seed potatoes.
Growers are encouraged to get copies and pass them on to landlords/sprayer operators on surrounding crops to help prevent any accidental damage. The latest advice has been produced in conjunction with the HGCA, SAC, BASIS and NRoSO and is being distributed at various industry events over the summer.
A relatively small amount of glyphosate contamination can have a marked impact on the performance of potato seed in the following season. For supplies of the printed leaflet and sticker, contact slock@potato.org.uk or call 02476 478772.
