Mission Milk
The Mission Milk campaign sees the Women’s Institute and NFU united to secure a sustainable future for British dairy farmers. The campaign, a follow-up to the successful Great Milk Debate campaign launched in 2007, communicates to consumers the current situation of dairy farming in the UK and the value of sourcing British and Red Tractor Assured dairy foods. NFU ‘Let’s Talk Farming’ roadshow
The NFU ‘Let’s Talk Farming’ Roadshow vehicle spends its time zooming up and down the country from Carlisle to Cornwall supporting and promoting British agriculture. It comes complete with an array of interactive activities and educational resources to teach youngsters where their food comes from. The NFU Roadshow can be seen at more than 80 town squares, seaside resorts, county shows and schools this year. Find out where you can catch the NFU’s travelling farm here.
The Recovery: Why Farming Matters
In the autumn of 2010 the NFU launched the latest in its Why Farming Matters series of publications The Recovery: Why Farming Matters. The report outlines the importance of agriculture to the British economy and how farming is fundamental to the country's future wellbeing.
