A website which explains the impact of climate change on British agriculture has been revamped and relaunched.
The new Farming Futures site includes fact sheets focusing on the opportunities and challenges ahead and a variety of on-farm case studies and videos – including a look at how NFU President Peter Kendall invested in ‘precision farming’ technology and boosted his farm's resource efficiency. There’s also a ‘science explained’ section, a guide to the scores of events that Farming Futures organises around the country and an interactive blogging area.
Farming Futures is a communications collaboration between the Agricultural Industries Confederation, the Agricultural and Horticultural Research Forum, the
Country Land and Business Association, Defra, Forum for the Future,
the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group, Linking Farm and the Environment
and the NFU. It was set up in 2006.
