Industry has been working very closely with the Environment Agency and Defra on the development of example templates for IPPC applicants.
This is so that producers:
• don't have to start from scratch on their application; and
• are given an indication of the level of information and detail to be submitted to the Environment Agency in their application.
Example template
The Environment Agency has published a broiler example application using the new-look application form which is available to view here.
Further information on the Environment Agency IPPC application package which contains the application form, the compliance 'Rules' and various guidance documents guidance, including that on the Interpretation of 'Installation', are available from the Environment Agency website.
Additional information
By the time the IPPC permit is formally issued producers will need to have in place 4 additional plans which are a site decommissioning plan, an accident management plan, a manure management plan (if needed) and an inspection and maintenance plan. These are available to the right of this page.
These four template plans are also available for the pig sector and can also be accessed via the BPEX website.
