chicken close up 184275Following on from our discussions with the Environment Agency on whether assurance schemes have a role in helping reduce the costs of IPPC annual charges, an IPPC module, as an adjunct to the Red Tractor Assurance scheme, will be available for eligible farmers from April 2010.

This work was lead on behalf of the pig and poultry industry sectors by Richard Macdonald, the NFU’s former Director General and has involved AFS, the BPC, BEIC and also the NPA.
