The NFU in the South West has produced an NVZ Guidance Tool after members asked for a quick and easy way to gauge how the NVZ regulations will affect their farm.

The tool should be the first step in looking at what the regulations will mean in terms of stocking levels, slurry storage and options for managing livestock manures including exporting or taking on extra land.

Click the link on your right to start using the tool.

As this is a member benefit, you will be asked to log in before using the tool. When you have logged in and access the page, the tool will open automatically after a few seconds. Disable Macros if prompted.

IMPORTANT: You must read the terms and conditions below. By clicking on the link to the right to use the tool, you agree to the terms and conditions of use.

In making use of the National Farmers' Union NVZ Tool I agree to and accept the following:

- I understand that the National Farmers' Union ("NFU") accepts no liability or responsibility whatsoever for any errors or omissions in the NVZ Guidance Tool.

- So far as permitted in law, the NFU accepts no liability or responsibility whatsoever for any losses, financial penalties or other consequential losses arising from my use of the NVZ Guidance Tool.

- It is my responsibility to ensure that the data that I input into the NVZ Guidance Tool is accurate and correct.

- I accept that the National Farmers' Union and its employees and agents do not have sufficient knowledge of my individual farm or business to provide advice as to my individual requirements under the Nitrate Pollution Prevention Regulations ("NPPR") 2008.

- I understand that I should seek independent professional advice as to my compliance requirements under the Nitrate Pollution Prevention Regulations 2008

- I agree that it is my responsibility to ensure that I comply with the relevant compliance requirements under the Nitrate Pollution Prevention Regulations 2008.
