The UK’s first Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Trade Show - UK AD & Biogas 2010 – takes place at the NEC next month.
With the new coalition Government’s commitment to ‘a huge increase in energy from waste through anaerobic digestion’ AD is set to become one of the largest renewable energy sources in the UK.
The Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Association (ADBA), at their annual exhibition and conference on July 7-8 at the NEC, Birmingham, UK AD & Biogas 2010, will explore the opportunity to turn your slurry pit into money.
Seventy-five per cent of AD plants are likely to be built in the agricultural sector, and this event will provide all farmers with potential feedstocks (slurry, chicken manure, energy crops or green by-products) with the opportunity to discover their value – including co-digestion with food waste. UK AD & Biogas 2010 will bring together leading industry experts across all sectors of the anaerobic digestion and biogas industries to share their expertise with you and showcase the newest AD plants and equipment.
NFU Vice President Gwyn Jones will chair a conference session on ‘On-Farm AD’ on the first day of the 2-day event, which also gives farmers the chance to attend free workshops and seminars, visit leading technology and service suppliers, hear real-life case studies and the latest research, see working demonstrations and participate in panel discussions. Speakers include Government Ministers and representatives from the NFU, WRAP, National Grid, Ofgem, British Gas, Sita and The Cooperative Bank.
The show takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, July 7-8. It costs £10 to pre-register for the exhibition - visit the website for more information and to book.
