Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire is the venue for a two-day event addressing the critical issues surrounding land-based energy.
On-Farm Energy Generation (22-23 June), will give farmers guidance on how to capture other means of revenue from their landbase, enabling them to gain valuable information on the range of technologies available and issues that may influence investment decisions.
The agricultural sector is on of the hardest hit by diminishing revenue streams and is increasingly looking towards alternative resources to maximise the return from their land.
Various incentives are becoming available and the ever topical issue of carbon reduction is further putting the spotlight on sustainability.
There will be a full programme of speakers, including the NFU's very own Dr Jonathon Scurlock. Dr Scurlock will be looking at the role of agriculture in an energy reliant and de-carbonising world on Tuesday 22 June.
And in the aftermath of the General Election, the event will provide an opportunity for policy makers and politicians to update the industry on the new Government’s aspirations for the renewable energy sector.
As the NFU is a supporting organisation, NFU members can get 10% off the ticket price.
