We have already set out our vision for food provision and the appointment of these companies is the next step in delivering on this. Our Tier one catering partners will work with a number of smaller caterers to help deliver key parts of their catering offer, and work with a multitude of large , medium and small food produces to showcase the best of British food.

The work done by our catering, cleaning and waste contractors will be largely unsung by many, but is vital and everyone in the organising committee recognise their vital role in delivering the Games. This is a massive piece of project management, but with these companies on board we are well set to deliver Games that the country can be proud of.”

In addition, McDonald’s is the official restaurant of London 2012 and will be operating restaurants within the Athletes Village, Main Media Centre and the Olympic Park.
