Carling Boards Red Tractor

09 Jun 2010

Cans of Carling will carry an important addition in future, today the top UK larger brand announced that the Red Tractor will feature oRed-Tractor-logo-n its packaging.

Last summer Carling signed 70 growers up to a three-year deal to supply 20,000 tones of barley direct to the company as part of its ‘100 per cent British Barley’ campaign.

“We’re really pleased to be able to tell our customers that 100 per cent of our barley has met the high quality standards set by Red Tractor throughout its production” said Jerry Dyson, Carling’s sourcing manager.

NFU president Peter Kendall said it was ‘a great commitment’ to UK farming.

The Red Tractor appears on more than £10 billion-worth of fresh food and drink in the UK. To go to the Red Tractor website and find out more about the logo click here.
