The NFU met MOD officials recently to look at issues arising from low flying helicopter exercises, a type of training regarded as a necessity for operational success by both the army and RAF.
The meeting identified what is permitted over private land, including minimum heights, landing, night flying and what is expected of those on the ground. The complaints and compensation procedures were also reviewed.
