Following the removal of anti-duties and quotas for Potash from Belarus and Russia in the Summer, the European Commission has announced an end t
o anti-dumping measures for Urea and Ammonium Nitrate.
After continued lobbying from the NFU and no request for a review, the Commission announced that as of midnight on 22nd December 2011, anti-dumpting duties and quotas for Urea and Ammonium Nitrate from Algeria, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine have been removed.
This decision means farmers and growers will be able to benefit from a wider supply base for their future fertiliser needs.
