Everyone knows that speed limits are determined by the type of road you are travelling on.
But not everyone will be aware that the type of vehicle you are driving also determines how fast you are allowed to go.
Following reports from NFU members that the police have stopped 4x4s and advised drivers that they should be travelling at a lower speed, we have put together a short member briefing to clarify how fast you can go on the road.
To download the briefing, click on the related documents to the right of the page (requires log-in).

Hi Carl,
Apologies, but as weights and builds change some much within makes between models and even through aftermarket modifications, we can't be anymore specific in this general briefing. Mainstream technical specifications for vehicles are easily available on manufacturers websites or via dealers.
