The future of tenant farming will be under the spotlight next month at a national conference organised by the NFU.
The NFU National Tenant Farmers’ Conference 2011, at Harper Adams University on November 10, will look at national issues as well as opportunities to invest and grow businesses.
The NFU represents more than 27,000 tenant farmers. The tenanted sector is an important, dynamic and productive part of British agriculture, and the focus for this year’s event is ‘The Future of the Tenanted Sector’.
NFU Deputy President Meurig Raymond will chair the full-day programme and speakers include Minister of State for Agriculture and Food, Jim Paice MP, TRIG Chairman Julian Sayers, Duchy of Cornwall Chief Executive Bertie Ross, Strutt & Parker partner Will Gemill and NFU President Peter Kendall. The conference will start with coffee at 9.30am and closes at 4.15pm.
A limited number of free places are available for NFU members – to register your interest please contact Matthew Uren on 024 7685 8607 or by emailing matthew.uren@nfu.org.uk. Places will be allocated next week on a first come first served basis and all applicants will be notified.
