The NFU has represented tenant farmers since its inception, and recently played a key role within the Tenancy Reform Industry Group in defending their position in the industry.
Meanwhile, our hill farmers have shaped some of the most beautiful parts of Britain for generations, acting as custodians of precious environmental amenities while providing a crucial part of our livestock industry.

Our Tenants' and Uplands Issues Groups
Keen to make your voice heard? Want to help shape our policies? The NFU is seeking applicants for its tenancy and its upland issues policy forums.
NFU regional boards will nominate members, but each needs a wide selection of candidates to choose from. Your NFU regional office has the forms, or you can download an application here. Please apply by 30 December.
The newly constituted forums will meet in early March after the 2012 NFU Conference.
