Six year old Chloe Bigley-Kirk, from Loughborough has won her very own farm…. well a model one, anyway. Chloe received her wonderful toys, the first prize in an NFU/Britains Farm Toys competition, on Saturday 3 December at her grandpa Tim Kirk’s farm at Costock.
Last summer, Chloe entered NFU’s “Let’s talk farming” colouring competition for 4-7 year olds with a prize of £100 worth of Britain’s Big Farm toys. Her Mum, Rachel, posted her entry and Chloe’s lovely, neat colouring-in was chosen from the entries to win the East Midlands’ regional prize.
“Our competition was a real hit this year, with loads of entries and it was quite difficult to choose the winner, but 6-year old Chloe’s neat and colourful picture really stood out. I think there must be some inside knowledge – she knows that some lambs have black faces and that tractors can be green!” says Alison Pratt, NFU’s regional press and PR adviser.
