The European Commission released the proposals for its CAP package from 2014-2020 on the 12 October 2011. The Commission aim to create ‘a new partnership between Europe and its farmers through the CAP.’
NFU welcome this commitment from the Commission, but farmers must be able to increase food production whilst contending with increased volatility, globalisation and a supply chain that all too often doesn’t work well enough for farmers.
