Phil CoakerThe February edition of British Farmer & Grower featured an in-depth look at the Dartmoor Farmer's Association (DFA) and its award-winning meat marketing strategy.

Ian Johnson spoke to the DFA's chairman, Phil Coaker (pictured right), about his work and the fistful of accolades the Association has won, including the Carol Trewin producer of the year award from Taste of the West.

"It is all extensive, sustainable and low input, with happy animals grazing in all the space they need. We decided we wanted to create a brand to highlight these unique selling points," says Phil.

"I liken it to a rugby team: if we play together and properly, there's nothing we can't achieve."
