Farmer business meeting

30 Jan 2012

West Midlands’ farmers are invited to a business workshop on 14 February in Worcestershire.

Farmers will be able to find out more about free economic and financial information that is available from the Farm Business Survey, FBS.

The regional FBS workshop will be on at Sixways Stadium, Worcester Rugby Club, and is being put on by Rural Business Research at the University of Reading.

A spokeswoman said: “The FBS is the most extensive and independent source of information on the performance of farm businesses in the UK and is widely used to inform policy at national level and to aid farm management decision making within the industry.

“We would welcome the opportunity to showcase the outputs from the survey including the latest results, benchmarking capability and internet reports that are available.

“Please bring along a wi-fi enabled laptop as the morning will end with a practical session.”

The half day workshop from 9am to 2pm is free of charge and includes refreshments and a buffet lunch.

To register please go to http://farmbusinesssurvey.co.uk/workshops/ or contact Helen Davis by calling 01183 786480 or email h.m.davis@reading.ac.uk
