Grants for livestock health projects

The Moredun Foundation has launched new scholarships to help individuals broaden their education and experience in areas relating to livestock health and welfare. 

Beef cattle Three separate awards of up to £1,000 each will be made in 2012, each for short-term projects which may involve work experience, travel or collaborations within science or the arts.

The grants are open to individuals over the age of 18 living in the UK, with the condition that you are a member of the Moredun Foundation at the time of applying.

Chairman John Ross said: “Recipients will have the flexibility to use their scholarships to support travel, work experience or continued research or a combination of all three, I feel certain that results of this award scheme will have positive results on the future health and welfare of livestock.”

The closing date is February 29 2012. Successful applicants will be notified by March 30, and projects need to be completed by August 31.
