The briefing has come off the back of a spike in political, public and media interest in NFM since the December 2015 floods. This includes the announcement £15million for NFM schemes in the Autumn 2016 budget and the recent creation of four new natural flood management options within countryside stewardship.
The briefing covers issues such as BPS eligibility, riparian rights and responsibilities, gaining the relevant permits and consents from different government agencies and considerations after the funding scheme finishes.
