Tech and Agriculture - Bridging the Gap

The event was hugely successful, with NFU members providing insights as to how they interact with technology and where they utilise the Internet of Things and data-driven strategies to improve the efficiency and efficacy of their operations.

Having heard directly from farmers where technology could improve their businesses, techUK and the NFU are delighted to confirm the second part of this series of events aimed at farmers and growers.

These meetings will provide NFU members with an opportunity to hear directly from techUK members about the innovative solutions available for this highly varied and increasing data-enabled industry.

Technology can provide farmers with greater abilities to understand and monitor land, crops and animals, supporting them in managing their businesses,  planning and ultimately improving competitiveness. These sessions will outline how techUK members can provide solutions to the various production challenges outlined by farmers, from improved crop yields using precision tools and sensors to better livestock management through real-time monitoring and automation.
