The community at the heart of the wind turbine!

The turbine installation is a joint collaboration between a local farmer and Transition Community Ventures, and the latter’s share of the funding has been raised by loans from local individuals and community groups. The Welsh Government’s Ynni’r Fro programme has provided development funding. All profit from the generation of electricity will go to the local community, and the Transition group’s share will be used to help fund low carbon community projects.

Aeolus Power has installed over 100 Endurance E-3120 wind turbines within the past 4 years and 4 of the X-29 turbines since its launch in 2013. Director of the company Christine Griffiths said, “Being involved in a community wind turbine installation is always special as members of that community, from the youngest to the eldest all benefit from the power it produces.”

Aeolus Power offers financial partnerships to assist farmers with the installation of an X-Series turbine on their land, from full ownership, to part-ownership and no-cost land leasing. Please contact Christine or Victoria Griffiths on 01454 633 323 for more information or visit the website
