Food and farming in spotlight at speakers' showcase

NFU Vice President Guy Smith will be taking part in a debate on feeding Britain after Brexit at a two-day festival in London this weekend.

The Battle of Ideas (22-23 October) takes place at the Barbican and brings together 400-plus speakers for over 100 debates. Organised by the Institute of Ideas (@Instofideas), the debate 'How will we feed Britain after Brexit?' takes place on Saturday afternoon and features:

  • Professor Tim Benton, Champion, UK Global Food Security Programme
  • Laurence Olins, Chairman, British Summer Fruits
  • Molly Scott Cato, Member of European Parliament for the Green Party; author, The Bioregional Economy
