The in-house communications team won the Best Digital-led Campaign prize for taking the serious issues facing British dairy farmers into the public domain.

And the evening got even better when we were named overall Grand Prix winners for our overarching Back British Farming campaign.

The NFU secured nominations alongside major national and international brands in four categories, going close in the Best Use of Video and Best In-house team awards. The competition included McDonald's, De Beers, Ikea, O2, BAE, Coca-Cola, Samsung, RBS and Primark, among others.

The CropComms Awards celebrate excellence in corporate communications. The tenth edition was held last night at The Troxy, on the outskirts of the City of London.

CorpComms magazine editor Helen Dunne said: “The NFU's campaigning work has a real impact on people's lives. These were campaigns that the judges had seen in action and, in some cases, acted upon. Taken as a body of work, across many categories, the NFU's stood out against some incredible competition.

“As the organisation which represents British farmers, the NFU’s communications team has clear objectives and works across multiple channels to reach its target audience. The team has achieved some fantastic results and had demonstrable impact for and on behalf of its members.

“Every campaign was different but none of them forgot their central message - to promote British farming.”
