Minette said: “I am delighted to be joining the London Food Board, which is instrumental in delivering and defining the new Food Strategy for London. As a board member I will be joining a team of highly respected businessmen and women to effect real change and help address London’s food challenges and opportunities.
“The London Food Board provides guidance and direction, tackling important issues such as food poverty, health, environmental impacts and food businesses.”
The appointment is a part-time commitment for Minette, running until the end of Sadiq Khan’s Mayoral term in May 2020. The board exists to advise the Mayor of London and the Greater London Authority on food matters across the capital, on the development and delivery of a new Mayoral London Food Strategy to be published in 2017 and on the GLA’s Food Programme.
