Natural England recently held a consultation on improving Compliance and Enforcement which closed on 30 September. The consultation outlines how Natural England proposes to implement civil sanctioning enforcement powers and includes questions relating to both their compliance and enforcement position and also their Enforcement Guidance document. A new England Biodiversity Strategy (EBS) has been launched by the Secretary of State Caroline Spelman at Camley Street Nature Park in London. The new EBS, which will run until 2020,was one of the key commitments set out in the Natural Environment White Paper launched in June and will be used as the foundation to guide conservation efforts in England over the next decade. read more..
