Members of the Defra dairy, livestock, arable and future agriculture policy units were given a tour of the 1,200 acre farm that supplies milk to Muller.
John is the new NFU East Anglia dairy board chairman replacing Ken Proctor on the national board.
As well as 468 cows in milk, the farm produces 500 acres of winter wheat, 330 acres of maize and 250 acres of Italian ryegrass.
John's family has run the farm for three generations and recently built a £800,000 high welfare shed for the cows, in the pursuit of his philosophy that, "happy, healthy cows equals good nutritious milk."
