Direct Selling? - What you need to know

Scenarios of where changes apply to you are as follows:-

  • Selling the meat at a local farmers market
  • Selling the meat from a fridge or freezer at their home
  • Selling the meat to a local retailer, pub or restaurant

Food Businesses are required to register these activities with their Local Authority under Article 6(2) of Regulation (EC) No 852/2004. This can be done by contacting the Environmental Health Department of their Local Authority.
