BPC, MSD Animal Health, ForFarmers and Elanco donate £580 of new books to students.

Harper Adams Librarian, Kath Osborn, said: “It is great to receive this kind donation from the poultry sector, which will greatly enhance our existing poultry book collection.

“They will no doubt be extremely well received by our students when they return in the autumn term.”

As part of its support of the university, the BPC, in conjunction with industry, offers a range of rewarding scholarships, each worth £4,500 a year.

The scholarship scheme sees students undertake their placement year with a leading company within the poultry sector, with the possibility of a graduate role on competition of their degree.

Speaking of the book donation, Chief Executive of the BPC, Andrew Large, said: “Together with our colleagues at MSD Animal Health, Elanco and ForFarmers, we are delighted to have donated these books.

“The poultry industry is always looking for new talent, and we are pleased to be able to support the education that will underpin the careers of many of our future managers across the poultry sector."
