Defra announces precautionary AI cull in Suffolk

The flock was identified as part of routine surveillance.

The cull will begin in the next few days and samples tested for the presence of H5N8.

Due to the proximity of this premises to IP9 it is unlikely it will have a significant impact on the restrictions already in place in the area (a 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone).
