BigBarn.co.uk
For Consumers: Enter a postcode or place name to find locally produced food displayed as icons on a local map.
For Producers: To become a member of BigBarn and have your business displayed on the map costs £10 + VAT per month. The map is also featured on the BBC Good Food, River Cottage and Tiscali websites among others, which increases exposure to potential customers.
Farmshop.uk.com
For Consumers: You can search either regionally or nationally for producers in Britain as well as a comprehensive listing of farmers markets, country fairs and shows and breed societies.
For Producers: A listing on farmshop.uk.com costs £120 + VAT per year with additional membership options available.
FARMA
For Consumers: Use Farmers Markets.net to find farmers markets and Farm Shopping.net for farm shops in your area. FARMA audit all farmers markets to ensure that they are authentic local food suppliers.
For Producers: FARMA offer farm shops and farmers markets a comprehensive membership package with including price checking with retailers, discounts on packaging materials and card payment systems. See www.farma.org.uk for further information.
Food From Britain
For Consumers: Food From Britain connects UK and international buyers with suppliers across the country via a user-friendly online database of over 4,000 UK producers of quality regional food and drink.
For Producers: Registration is entirely free, and members benefit from inclusion in the most comprehensive directory of UK regional food and drink producers available to national and international commercial buyers.
