Your NFU area

Your Group Secretary is your local contact within the NFU. There are over 350 Group Secretaries in England and Wales working on behalf of the farming community in their area and so understand the needs of farmers and grower on a very local level. They are responsible for lobbying local MP’s, arranging meetings with local authorities when required and helping members with issues face to face.

Every NFU member is amalgamated with their local branch of the NFU which is looked after by the Group Secretary for that area. To get involved in your local branch activities or to find out what they are doing on your behalf locally, contact your Group Secretary. Decisions made at branch level are taken forward to regional and national level and help formulate NFU Policy.
