Countdown to Pig and Poultry Fair

The pig and poultry calendar's flagship event takes place at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire next Tuesday and Wednesday.
The 2008 fair will focus on the food chain delivering a greater number of processors and retailers, and provide information for farmers venturing into self processing.
Robin Tapper of the NFU is on the panel for the producers Feed Question Time, and the national poultry board members and regional advisers will be manning the stand on plot 334.
Also on the NFU stand, Lantra in partnership with the industry is launching a new Poultry Passport Scheme for everyone involved in the poultry sector training initiative. The passport will be a list of all the skills and courses the individual has been on or taken part.
Members and prospective members can also come along to sample our Centenary ale, Farmers Harvest, and enter a competition.
