The NFU Dairy Board is striving to deliver a new Vision for the future of the British dairy industry in order to create a long-term profitable future for English and Welsh dairy farmers.
Horticulture
The Board for Horticulture & Potatoes continues to work on the many issues affecting this diverse sector. Over the coming months this will focus on the AWB, SAWS, Gangmaster licensing legislation, energy cost, polytunnels, plant health, waste, water, and supply chain relationships.
Livestock
The NFU Livestock Board aims to meet all partners in the supply chain to insist that they provide clear messages to farmers and to improve trading relationships
Poultry
The Poultry Board is continuing its work to reduce the burden of the Pollution Prevention and Control Directive on farmers and reviewing the Welfare of the Laying Hens Directive.
Sugar
The NFU Sugar Board is continuing its vital work to find a satisfactory outcome of EU sugar reforms for UK beet growers and is looking for ways to maintain profitability within UK beet growing.
