New combinable crops board chairman elected

Ian Backhouse has been elected as the new chairman of the NFU's Combinable Crops Board. Mr Backhouse, a farmer from Goole in Yorkshire, succeeds Arthur Hill who has stood down after two terms in office. Jim Meadows from Stratford was elected vice-chairman.
