From 23 to 26 June, NFU President Peter Kendall and our team of experts will be in Luxembourg and Brussels where farm ministers, MEPs and the European Commission are trying to hammer out a final deal for CAP.

Six months ago the Irish presidency earmarked this week to come up with a final text on CAP reform.
For a deal to be reached the European Parliament and Agriculture Council must agree jointly to a text, but there are still some fundamental areas where the two institutions are divided including capping, greening, coupled payments and flexibility to shift money between pillars.
The NFU has been feeding into the debate since the Commission published its CAP proposals in 2011. Being in Luxembourg, at the heart of the debate, means we can bring members' concerns and objections right to the forefront of those making the decisions.
