Farm Business Update meeting at Lavenham

This year’s guest speakers will be dynamic, practical Nuffield scholars who will present on a range of topics at the different events.

Richard Hinchliffe is speaking at Dereham, Harpenden and Wortwell on the topic of ‘herbicide resistant weeds: investigating a sustainable future for arable farming’.

At Bluntisham and Lavenham, Russell McKenzie will present on ‘success with no-till under any conditions, is it really possible?’

Mike Ratcliffe is speaking at Writtle on the topic of ‘who can benefit by adopting agricultural technology?’

And Tim Stephens is presenting at Marston Mortaine on the topic of ‘how can farmers keep nutrients out of water? An international perspective’.

There will also be presentations from Championing the Farmed Environment, the Catchment Sensitive Farming Partnership, the Environment Agency, representatives from water companies, and NFU specialists Richard Wordsworth and Anna Logan, who will cover cross compliance and BPS/Brexit issues.

Registration is at 9.30am for a prompt 9.45am start. Lunch will be served after the presentations at 12.45pm giving time to visit the stands of the sponsoring and other organisations.
