British Beef Week 23 April - 1 May

Great British Beef Week_42826

Support British beef, the nations favourite meat

What is great about British Beef Week?
Kicking off on St George's Day, 23 April, Great British Beef Week is a celebration of our fantastic beef industry, promoting Red Tractor assured British beef. Spring is the time of the first new season crop so what better time to celebrate the best of British?

Why should I be bothered about promoting British beef?
British beef is produced to the highest possible standards and there are strict rules on hygiene, animal welfare and traceability. It's fair to say that the beef industry in this country has not had an eas ride over the past couple of decades with such things as Foot and Mouth and BSE, but the sector continues to deliver a world class product that we should all be proud of. The industry is resilient but it needs your support.

About R.A.B.I
The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution is a welfare charity that supports farming people in financial need and every year we give out around £2m in grants. They rely on voluntary county committees, supporters, businesses and community groups to fund much of what they do. They have been around since 1860 but their work is as important as ever.

How can I get involved?
Just by buying British beef you'll be doing your bit for the industry. We'd love to see an uplift in sales during the campaign week and we'd love to see British beef on more menus and specials boards. If you can't dine out, why not have a mid-week mini roast at home?
