Despite a busy parliamentary schedule, the NFU in the South East has continued to lobby MPs, arranging meetings on farms, at constituency offices or in London.
Earlier this month, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire NFU adviser Georgia Craig and NFU External Affairs Manager Scott Pepé met Matt Rodda MP (Reading East) in Westminster for the first time.
Georgia Craig said: “It was a positive meeting and we look forward to staying in touch. We discussed Brexit, along with the implications for agriculture of a no-deal scenario, and other issues including rural infrastructure. We presented the MP with a copy of the NFU’s Brexit toolkit that aims to help our farmer and grower members prepare their businesses for Brexit.”
