A round table meeting followed a farm tour when the MP discussed issues including the Agriculture Bill and maintaining food standards in any future trade deals. Rural crime, along with farming and the environment, were also on the agenda for the meeting organised by NFU group secretary Sam Bowen.
Surrey NFU county adviser Romy Jackson said afterwards: “It was a productive meeting and we look forward to meeting Claire Coutinho again at the NFU’s mass lobby in Westminster later this month.”
